Events, Team Meetings and
Volunteer Opportunities
 At Christ Church of Peace, our time with God and one
another extends beyond the Sunday Morning Sermon. You'll find
opportunities to join in any of our activities. Christ Church of
Peace has a open meeting and event policy, and encourage members of
the congregation and visitors alike to participate in our events,
team meetings and Ministry Operations Team meetings
(MOT serves in the capacity of a Board)
SOCIAL EVENTS - ALL ARE WELCOME
Here's a list of all the happenings around Christ Church of
Peace. Please check our newsletter
for the most up-to-date information on upcoming events.
First Sundays:
Women's Gathering. Our women meet immediately after church
for a time of fellowship and socializing.
This is a updated version, of the Women's Group
activities. from March through Ocotber. And know that some of
these are subject to change.
March 2. Sunday after service:
Miniature golf at Adventure Landing!! Bring your game
ladies - if we have enough, we'll play team competition.
April 6. Sunday after service:
Arts and Crafts (with Dean & Mary). Bring
a lunch, or go quick pick one up and come back to the
church. Depending on your skills, old clothes might be
appropriate. Please donate $5.00 for supplies (thanks). If
you are not interested in the Arts and Crafts, there is a
March Madness going on. Joan and MaryAnne
can give more details on this event.
May 4. Sunday after service (unless
otherwise noted) Dancing with Sandy (she'll pass on details
closer to the event)
June - Gay Disney Weekend in
Orlando. For those ladies that want to go, Susan and Terry
are organizing the information and rooms should be booked
ASAP. Please see either for details.
For those not heading south, we'll do a nice luncheon at a
restaurant to be named later.
July - 4th of July Pool Party at
Terry and Susans (if it rains again....well you know!) This
will be on Friday the 4th- the time is anytime after 1PM
and please bring a side dish, swim suits, towel and
your drink of choice. (Main dish will be chicken on the
grill).
August 3. Sunday after service -
Bowling at Ramonas. Hopefully some of us old and creaky
folks that were unable to play in January will join the
action this time (if not - we still need our cheerleaders!!)
September - (Is actually Saturday
August 30) for the end of Summer/Labor Day weekend pool
party at Susan and Anna's. Party begins at 12 noon - bring
side dishes to go with hamburgers and hotdogs (that'll we'll
provide and cook up). If it rains - it becomes an immediate
poker/game day and watching Susan drown while grilling
event!!
October - Debra and Neisha
suggested (early last year before they got all caught up in
that wedding stuff) that we go camping (in RVs) somewhere
that they know in Ocala. So I'll ask that they let us know
more about that and we can inform everyone further with the
details.
Still looking for other ideas (to do on those weekends that
has a portion of the group away for the weekend and for
November and December (yeah, I know hard months to plan with
everyone on "holiday".)
Men's Gathering. Our men meet immediately
after church for a time of fellowship and socializing.

 Third Saturdays: On the third Saturday of each month, we gather at the church at 6:30 p.m., divide into small groups of six to eight people to eat dinner at area restaurants, and come together afterward at someone's home for desert and fellowship.
TEAM MEETINGS - Open to congregation and visitors - your involvement
is encouraged. It is essential to making Christ Church of Peace your
best church, ever.
Ministry
Operations Team (MOT) meeting - 3rd Sundays
The Ministry Operations Team is the Board of the
church, responsible for overseeing the business matters of the
church. If you are interested in the activity of the MOT, or
would like an opportunity to serve, you are encouraged to attend
and learn more about the process and about Christ Church of
Peace. Meeting begins 30 minutes after service concludes.
Worship Planning Team - 2nd Sundays - After Worship
The Worship Planning Team oversees the facility
and structure of our worship services to provide the best
possible experience for everyone who joins us here. If you have
experience in Worship Planning, Choir or other parts of the
service, you are welcome to join in the exciting planning at
Christ Church of Peace.
Stewardship Team meeting - 2nd Wednesdays 7pm - 8:15pm
Stewardship is the care of your church through
your giving in time, talents, treasures and tithes. The
Stewardship Team has the responsibility of budget preparation,
pledge drives and the marketing efforts to promote Christ Church
of Peace in our community. If you have experience in
Stewardship, or would like to see what is happening in these
areas, you are invited to attend and get involved.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Do you have a hidden talent? Maybe one that every
one else tells you you're good at? CCOP has a small staff,
everything else we do is handled by our Beloved Volunteers.
Consider lending an hand in our many volunteer opportunities.
